Ears or rings?

Saturn has ears! Galileo thought in 1610. He was the first one to observe Saturn’s rings. When I saw it (yes, I did! ;-)) on a telescope,  I just couldn’t care whether they were ears or rings. It was just lovely! WOW! ;-) I was enthralled! ;-)

I only expected to see meteor shower last week at The Festival of Stars, but so happy to have laid my eyes on Saturn! :-) It’s the sixth planet from the Sun and the second largest planet in the Solar System. I wished I could look at it longer, but there were people behind me waiting. I had to share Saturn! ;-)

“Saturn’s rings consist mostly of ice particles with a smaller amount of rocky debris and dust. Sixty-one known moons orbit the planet, not counting hundreds of “moonlets” within the rings. Titan, Saturn’s largest and the Solar System’s second largest moon (after Jupiter’s Ganymede), is larger than the planet Mercury and is the only moon in the Solar System to possess a significant atmosphere.” (Wikipedia)

Okay, don’t be envious. I didn’t see it as big and clear as this. Haha. This is a photo I took from a poster in my room. ;-) Well, yes, that’s Saturn. ;-)

Guess what’s the other planet I’ve seen that night? ;-D
